Watermelon Granita with Yuzu

This Granita is simply created by three ingredients: Watermelon, sugar and Yuzu Kajyu. Yuzu, the citrus flavor resembles lime, lemon and grapefruit combined, gives a unique aroma, and make it delicious granita dessert for hot summer!

Makes 4 Cups


4 cups of watermelon
1/3 cup cane sugar
1/4 cup Yamajirushi Yuzu Kajyu


    1. Blend all the ingredients really well and run through a strainer.
    2. It should yield about 2 cups of liquid.
    3. Pour the watermelon mixture into a pan or glass dish and freeze.
    4. Every 30-40 minutes, using a fork, stir the mixture to break apart the ice crystals.
    5. Repeat this step 4-5 times until the mixture has become slushy but slightly firm.
    6. Serve immediately or make sure to keep stirring to prevent freezing.
